One of the most frustrating parts of everyday life is when we are headed out the door and are checking to make sure we have everything we need, only to find out our phone is dead. The games we were playing and scrolling through Tik-Tok has completely drained our battery, so now panic sets in. In that moment, we know that we need to move forward with our day, but how can we make it through the rest of the day without our phone. Unfortunately, this happens in other places in life as well.
The past year and a half has been hard on us all. Between everyday activities being shut down, having to stay isolated and not being able to even go to church, we are all feeling a little drained – Physically, emotionally and even spiritually.
But the lock down is over and it is time to get plugged back into life as it is meant to be, and that is the goal of this retreat. We need to be honest with ourselves about what has drained us of our spiritual energy and what the implications of that are. And just how no one wants a dead phone, no one really wants to have a dead faith. So we must find a way to plug-in and recharge. We hope that you will be able to join us during this time of reconnection – with God and with one another.
